You are lucky to be able to both paint/draw and write poetry so very well.

Thanks, Jenny. It's weird. Art kinda runs in my family. My grandfather was an artist and a master calligrapher. One of my brothers is a painter/architect. Another one is planning to pursue a career in photography. My mother too, has always drawn very well. But I'm the only one who writes in addition to painting. But then, I've been reading since I was a child. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I really like the recurring patterns. I sense there's some symbolism here, especially with the cross in the corner.

Stunning: you should consider doing a graphic novel.

Francis: The symbolism is traditional- the age old dichotomy between individuality and convention or society which is what the crucifix represents. I was going through a difficult time when I drew this and the crucifix appeared again and again in most of my work of this period. There might be varied hidden meanings but since I don't plan beforehand what I'm going to draw, I think it flows directly from the subconscious with the result that even I am confused!

Pisces: A lot of people have made the same suggestion. Maybe, at some point in the future. I am however more interested in an illustrated poetry book.
