Beautiful piece. I like the arc of the trees.

Thank Writer. They are elk horn thingys. I had the most strange and beautiful dream during the night were a young woman in a cloak and carrying a small wooden cross walked through the snow into the centre of three of them and she began to dance like a whirling dervish. I got up about 4AM and painted this dream as I do not think I have ever had a dream like it and I wanted to record it ASAP. Glad I did.

Yes, Thomas this is a very beautiful and intrigueing piece.
I to have gotten some of my ideas in dreams and then woke up in the night scrambling to get it on paper.

Yikes Liza, lets hope not as I have had prophetic dreams in the past. I was reading about Siberian shamanism a few days ago. Might of come from that.

Good job Thomas...
its like a folk-fairy tale from a distant land.
(Ireland?)
I like that she's carring a cross in her journey
nice

Thanks JB. We have neither elk nor much snow in Ireland. Although BP may change that...

The painting and the story of how it came to be are truly inspiring. The elk horn thingys are brilliant.
