shore

i think i'd like to go far away
where no one has gone before
over the farthest mountains
along an empty shore

and walk along forever
but never round the bend
where the ocean meets the river
the river that never ends

and stop beneath a shady tree
to listen to the rain
that plays on the leaves a melody
that will never be heard again

i think i'd like to read this a hundred times
i've read lots of poems about rain, ocean and shore before
but the way timmy brings them together in his rimes
makes you feel them more and... evermore

:)

Honest and visionary. I really like this poem.

I agree with Ande and human being, this is visionary and the rhythm and sentiment are wonderfully fused.

Oh, I have devoted a large part of my life trying to find just that melody, I think.

Your poem makes that melody a reality for the rest of us :)

Love this timmy. The simplicity of truth can be so hard to render.
