Nightshade

Large length of felled wood
ten bruised faces
lips sipping Brandywine

It was here that I contemplated
ambitious undertakings
involving twenty-five shoelaces
and prayer

I love the mysteriousness here. Great poem.

A stupid question perhaps, is this the poem with tomatoes?

Again, concise words that seem to be smoldering.

I like the atmosphere of this a lot. Darkness and contemplation.

@ PO Johnson: Thank you, I'm glad you like. And yes tomatoes are to be found there ;)

@ Jenny Enochsson: :) Thanks

@ Megan Duffy: I like that it created an atmosphere for you, thanks for the comment :)

This one hints at a lot beyond what's written. The word "undertakings" combined with the odd number of shoelaces, especially sends my mind reeling in strange directions. Nicely done.
